Principal's Message

Greetings Tigers,

Every year it is more and more exciting to be a THRALL TIGER!!!  We have such a special thing going on here in Thrall ISD. Students and staff have settled into the new building, and it feels more like home everyday.  We had a lot of “firsts” last year, and we anticipate this year to be more of the same when it comes to accomplishments.

Thrall High School ended the year as the 4th highest ranked Academic UIL 2A high school in Texas.  Our students beat the rest of the state in standardized testing as well. From the STAAR, to AP exams, and college admission rates, our students and teachers have steadily been raising the bar each year.  This is due to a consistent staff who hold students to high expectations.

Our teachers spend a lot of time preparing, learning new strategies, and more importantly working with kids.  Our students recognize these efforts, and do their best to reciprocate the effort. Work ethic, cooperation, faith, student leadership, determination, and grit are all things that our students live by.  Our students are competitive at whatever they attempt. They are also independent thinkers and problem solvers, which will put them ahead of the pack later on in life.

Research shows that small town students are willing to compete, take risks in the learning process, and can stand toe to toe with others on the global job market. As technology and workplace demands change daily, one thing stays the same, and that is that hard work pays off.  Thrall graduates are an example of that everyday. When they return to visit they all say the same thing, and that is that they were given the tools to be successful beyond the walls of this school.

These are some of the things that the community of Thrall, and Thrall ISD prides itself in. On behalf of the entire staff and student body, I want to thank you for the opportunity to work with the young people of Thrall in this endeavor.

It is a GREAT day to be a Tiger!
