We enter the 2020-2021 school year in a way that none of us would have ever imagined. There have been so many changes to our world, but we have adapted together. It has been uplifting and encouraged to the staff being able to welcome students back into the building this Fall.
Being a member of the “Tiger Family” is something special that we sometimes take for granted. I cannot imagine raising my family anywhere else. It is humbling to serve the students, and community of Thrall ISD.
Now more than ever we are preparing our students for an uncertain future. We owe it to them, and the future of our country to teach our kids how to think on their feet, and solve problems. They also need to be open minded and willing to adapt to the unknown.
As we prepare students for the next chapter in their lives we always need to keep in mind that we do not know what their world will look like in a week, let alone another 20 years.
Thrall High School has a rich history of academic success. Our students are state and national level competitors in Academic UIL, numerous extra and co-curricular events, as well as AP exams, college admission rates, and scholarships.
Our students, staff members, and community continue to show their grit and perseverance. The culture that this small town provides is a special thing. It is a place where neighbors take care of neighbors, team members hold each other accountable, and success is the expectation.
These are just a few of the things that make Thrall ISD the district of choice. On behalf of the entire staff and student body, I want to thank you for the opportunity to work with the young people of Thrall in this endeavor.
It is a GREAT day to be a Tiger!
