I will begin with a big welcome to Thrall High School!!! As I begin my 20th year in education I am constantly reminded what an honor it is to be a member of the “Tiger Family”. I cannot imagine raising my family anywhere else. It is humbling to serve the students, and community of Thrall ISD.
As we prepare students for the next chapter in their lives we always need to keep in mind that we do not know what their world will look like in another 20 years. With advancement in technology, medicine, and an ever changing world our students need to be prepared.
Young people need to know how to problem solve, make timely decisions, be independent thinkers, and leaders on a global stage. The seeds of these traits all begin at a young age. We are proud to contribute to our young people as they pursue this inspiring task.
Thrall High School has a rich history of academic success. Our students are state and national level competitors in Academic UIL, numerous extra and co-curricular events, as well as AP exams, college admission rates, and scholarships. Last spring Thrall seniors claimed over $550,000 in scholarships.
Our students, staff members, and community continue to raise the bar each year. The culture that this small town provides is a special thing. It is a place where neighbors take care of neighbors, team members hold each other accountable, and success is the expectation.
These are just a few of the things that make Thrall ISD the district of choice. On behalf of the entire staff and student body, I want to thank you for the opportunity to work with the young people of Thrall in this endeavor.
It is a GREAT day to be a Tiger!
