Thrall ISD Moves Forward with District of Innovation Plan

House Bill (HB) 1842, passed during the 84th Legislative Session, permits Texas public school districts to become Districts of Innovation and to obtain exemption from certain provisions of the Texas Education Code. On March 22, 2017, the Thrall Independent School District’s Board of Trustees passed a Resolution to explore the development of a District of Innovation Plan to increase local control over District operations and to support innovation and local initiatives. FCCLA Advances to State!

FCCLA members traveled to Corpus Christi January 26-28 to participate in the Region V Meeting and Competition. Students competed against schools in the region in numerous events. All students advance to the State level competition to be held in Dallas April 6-8. Read more...

Students' Art Recognized at Western Art Show

Three Thrall High School students earned top honors at Rodeo Austin's Youth Western Art Show at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum on Jan. 21. James Sebastian Bodiford, sophomore, took Grand Champion Digital Art for his rendering of a cosmic longhorn titled "Taurus". Earning third in Digital Art was sophomore Jeremy Cain's electric blue donkey, "Eeyore". In the 3D/Sculpture division, junior Wesley Strnad was named Reserve Grand Champion for his welded horse sculpture, "Malleable Mayhem". Read more...

Tiger Band Members Audition at Area

On Saturday, Jan. 7, seven of our Tiger Band members traveled to Robinson High School to audition at the the Area level and compete for seats in the ATSSB All-State Band. Congratulations go out to Alex van Til, sophomore trombonist, who was selected to participate in the ATSSB All-State Band during the Texas Music Educators Association convention February 8-11! NHS Inducts New Members

On December 12, 2016, the Thrall High School Chapter of the National Honor Society held its annual induction ceremony adding 19 new members. HS membership is based on Scholarship, Service, Leadership and Character. Read more...

College Reimbursement

Thrall ISD will Reimburse up to $189.00 Per Semester ($378.00 per calendar year) for the successful completion of dual enrollment classes. In order to receive your reimbursement check you must print off an unofficial transcript showing a passing grade (70 and above) and college credit hours that were received. Please turn in your transcripts to Mrs. Lillard no later than January 15th, 2017. Checks will be issued by the end of January 2017. Please contact Mrs. Lillard with any questions.

All students planning to attend college need to take their SAT/ACT by the end of their Junior year. The dates are as follows:

February 11th - - register by 1\13
April 8th - - register by 3\3
June 10th - - register by 5\5

January 21st - - register by 12\21
March 11th - - register by 2\10
May 6th - - register by 4\7
