Principal's Message

Greetings Tigers,

What a great day to be a TIGER!!!  Construction is underway, and we hope to have four new classrooms ready to go as next school years starts.  Our STAAR EOC scores have also arrived, and we made progress in every subject.  In some, our scores nearly doubled.  We have some of the best teachers, and coaches in the state working towards our student’s futures. 

I cannot speak enough about the hard work that occurs day in and day out at Thrall High School.  We look at students, not just as academic pupils, but also as the whole student.  Building well-rounded citizens who can think for themselves, take on life’s challenges, problem solve, and contribute in a meaningful way is the ultimate goal.  Today’s young people need to be prepared to lead our world through uncertain times in the future.  Forging long lasting relationships with the staff and each other, is one of the steps our students take on this journey of life. 

On behalf of the entire staff, and student body, I want to thank you for the opportunity to work with the young people of Thrall in this endeavor.   

It is a GREAT day to be a Tiger!

Tiger Band Earns Sweepstakes!

Tiger Band Earns Sweepstakes! The Tiger Band performed on Monday, April 13 at the Jerry Wilhelm Performing Arts Center in Bastrop for their annual UIL Concert & Sightreading Competition. They were awarded overall First Division ratings in both Concert and Sightreading, earning them their Fifth Sweepstakes honor in six years! Congratulations to these musicians and Mrs. Beth Morrison, Tiger Band Director!
FCCLA Succeeds at State Conference

FCCLA Succeeds at State Conference FCCLA students attended and competed at the State Conference in Corpus Christi on April 8-10. Bradley Graham won a Gold medal (perfect score)-FCSA. Lilly Chandler also received a Gold medal (perfect score)-FCSA. Other successes included Dylan Ging and Jordyn Johnson for 3rd place-Sports Nutrition JR; Samantha Grumbles and Cyrilla-lyn Thompson for 4th place-Chapter in Review JR. Read more...
Tennis Advances to Regional Competition-More Results Reported!
At the District Tennis Tournament in Hutto on Monday, April 6, THS Varsity Tennis had great success. Madalynn Woelfel and Weslynn Boatright were 2nd place Girls Doubles and Dylan Ging was 2nd place Boys Singles. Also, Olivia Hall and Daryn Gamez were Mixed Doubles Champions. Macilynn Boatright and Markel Irvin were 2nd Place in Mixed Doubles. Bradley Heselmeyer and Cody Crabb took 2nd Place in Boys Doubles. All of these athletes advance to the Regional Tennis Tournament in Corpus Christi on April 20 and 21. Congratulations to all of these tennis players, Head Coach Brenda Graham and Assistant Coach Garla Jansky!
